1 Getting Started : CAD, GIS and 3D Visualization |

Open the demo project :
- Download and unzip demo_tutorials.zip .
- On the File menu, click Open...
.
- Browse to the folder where you have unzip the files for this tutorial.
- Select the file Demo_Tutorials.lse .
- The
Designer and the Navigator will open automatically.
Navigation 3D :
Mouse 3D Navigation
- On the Designer Toolbar, click
Navigator to open the Navigator Window.
Note: If you are working with dual monitors,
click on the external NavigatorXT to use one monitor for the
Designer and the other for the Navigator.

- Click the middle of the Navigator window.
- Move Forward and Backward
Left-click while moving the mouse forward or backward.
- Rotate left, right, up and down
Right-click while moving the mouse in any direction.
- Pan left, right, up and down
Left and right-click simultaneously while moving
the mouse in any direction.

Play Animation Path:
- On the Navigator, Select "Trail".

- Click the Play
button to view an animation path.
- While playing the animation,
- Right-click the Navigator window while moving the mouse
to the left or the right to rotate the view.
Stop the playing animation.
Insert an element :
- On the Navigator, Select "View #4".

- The 3D Navigator is linked to this view that is pointing to the area where
we will insert a Forest element.

- Click on the arrow to the right of the
Population button on the toolbar.
- Select Forest drop down menu.

- Draw out the forest area by Clicking over the represented point 1.
- Then click over the represented point 2,3 and 4.
- Double-click over the point 5.

- The Tree selection dialog box opens.

- Click the second tree from the list of names.
- The element is created on the Designer as well on the Navigator.

Move an element :
- move the forest on the terrain map, left-click in the middle of the element.
- keep the mouse pressed and move to the desire location.
Modify an element :
- On the Navigator, Select "View #1".
- Press the Control key + left-click over the Tower element
to open the context menu.

- Select Unlock if the element is locked.
- Open the context menu again.
- The Object Settings dialog opens
- In the Rotation field type 360, press enter.
- The Tower should now be facing another direction.
